A modern transformation of a 1950s artist's home, featuring a warm and relaxed atmosphere enhanced by a buttery yellow ceiling and indigo wool carpet, complemented by mid-century inspired timber shelving for a personalized touch.
We injected character into the living space of this Artist's 50's home. Rather than trying to simplify the space we added to create a warm and relaxed mood. Colour was brought in through the buttery yellow ceiling and chunky indigo loop pile wool carpet. Colours selected to pair well with the client's own art and eclectic objects and furniture items.
Mid-century inspired timber shelving showcases the client's book collection and adds further texture and interest to the space allowing for the flexibility of changing artwork.
The result is a space that feels lived in and enjoyed and is a reflection of the artist in residence.
