Contemporary Elegance with a French Whisper by Ambit Curator

Set within the leafy suburb of Killara, Atelier Provençal brings a gentle touch of French provincial elegance to a contemporary Sydney home. Rather than a full adoption of the style, the design reinterprets its charm through subtle gestures that harmonise with the existing architecture and the local context. A palette of soft neutrals, chalky whites and warm timbers evokes a sense of quiet refinement. Curved profiles, fluted detailing and classic joinery lines nod to the romance of provincial design, while the balance of restraint and modern proportion keeps the home feeling grounded and relevant. Natural light softens every surface, revealing textures that speak of craftsmanship and calm. The result is a home that bridges heritage and modernity — serene, timeless, and distinctly Sydney in its poise.

“We engaged Angela to design and reorganise the spaces of our major renovation project. Angela have provided practical solutions and design inputs for us, and her skilful presentations helped us visualise the outcome. Angela is also not afraid of thinking outside the box and cleverly challenged us with her ideas. We have often been surprised by her well thought through suggestions. Angela understood our brief well and provided design solutions that adhered to our budget. We highly recommend Angela to anyone who is looking for personable and all-rounded interior designer.”
