In 2018 we entered the "Castle Boatshed" into the Master Builders House of the Year Awards.  This is stage one of a two-staged project for one of our local architectural designers "Studio 77".  We were absolutely delighted to receive a Gold Award in the $450,000 to $550,000 New Homes Category.  Designed in the style of a humble boatshed, this home is much more clever than meets the eye at first glance.  The cedar-clad dwelling includes everything you could need for high-end living and entertaining, from summer through to winter.  Designed to pack plenty into a 219sqm footprint, the 'boatshed' responds well to the needs of its owners and guests.  This expertly executed, cost-conscious build achieved a score of 93% for workmanship.

About the
Professional

HAMR Home is a leading builder of quality homes, based on the Coromandel Peninsula in beautiful Whitianga.

We’re a family-owned business, with Mum Hannah, daughters Amelia and Maggie and Dad, Richard, from which we took our name. However, we have just added to the family with baby Anabelle coming on board the HAMR Home Team. We started our business in 2009 and, despite challenging economic times, we’ve been very busy. We attribute this to Richard’s reputation for outstanding craftsmanship, attention to detail and our history of exceptionally happy clients.

Richard has more than 19 years’ experience building award-winning homes and is a Member of the New Zealand Master Builders Association. Registered Master Builders is New Zealand's most recognised construction industry association.  Along with our team of qualified builders, that’s your guarantee of quality. In fact, as Registered Master Builders, we stand by our work for 10 years - guaranteed!

Before establishing HAMR Home Richard worked for nine years with local business Rod Percival Builders, well known for building award-winning homes. During these years Richard and his team were acknowledged with many Master Builders Awards for the quality of their work and level of craftsmanship.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
