OUR ROLE

Novo Group provided due diligence and site acquistion advice having been contacted by the client in the projects early stages to assess any planning constraints, identify any potential issues and problems.

Height limits and height risk constraints were assessed along with development contribution credits as well as site location considerations as the construction site is very close to significant historical buildings.

The planning team delivered a clear and brief summary of risks and opportunities, supporting the client through the land purchase. From there, we provided preliminary design guidance whilst working with the Project Team through design development of the site.

With the site being in central Christchurch, on busy Durham Street, our Traffic Engineers resolved related issues including maximising the car parking layout and provided design guidance to architects regarding Site access, onstreet parking and utility loading areas.

We continued to work with the client on urban design panel coordination and managed pre-application consultation with Christchurch City Council through to preparing and submitting the resource consent and managing any post consent conditions and changes.
