HAYBALL's latest project, Cahill Park Amenities & Café, is a key step in the evolution of Cahill Park’s development as a major recreational destination for the Wolli Creek area. Constructed to satisfy the requirements of a challenging site, this contemporary building forms a cocoon-like space which opens up on its river aspect, allowing users to take advantage of the Cooks River vista.

Anchored to the site by a single desire line, the Café and Amenities facility serve as a gateway to the park and beyond. It provides physical, visual and aural refuge for café and park users from the nearby Princes Highway, while also allowing patrons to engage with the existing playground. The project was completed in 2021 and will become an essential part of the local community.

From an architectural perspective, the café's wide expanse of windows and vistas are strategically positioned to allow patrons to connect with the bustling activity of the existing playground. This thoughtful arrangement not only enhances the café's usability but also fosters a sense of casual surveillance, ensuring the park remains a vibrant and safe place for all visitors.

Cahill Park Cafe & Amenities is a key component of the extensive Cahill Park revitalization project, boasting a substantial multi-million dollar investment. This ambitious endeavor encompasses the creation of a brand-new seawall, pathways, a picnic area, improved lighting, and the addition of a secure dog off-leash area.

In September 2017, the nearby Cahill Park playground, situated opposite the cafe, was successfully completed and inaugurated. Since then, it has significantly boosted the park's popularity among residents, attracting a larger number of visitors.

Upon its opening, the cafe's fresh outdoor seating area will be thoughtfully positioned adjacent to the playground, providing a delightful spot for patrons to enjoy their meals in close proximity to this vibrant recreational area.
