Recent arrivals from the UK, our fantastic clients first came to us for ideas to alter and extend the modest old house on this magnificent coastal site. Ultimately that was demolished to make way for the large three story home that now gently and carefully steps down through the terraced gardens. Levity is provided by subtle cantilevers of the cedar clad volumes, carefully balanced over heavier brickwork masses. The mid level living areas spill out onto the formal lawn with herbaceous borders in the finest English tradition whilst the kid’s lower level opens onto the pool area, a lush sub- tropical oasis. Upstairs the best views of the gulf are reserved for Mum and Dad.
