Thoughtfully considered from the outside to the inside, materiality and structure are an instant telling that Clovelly House is not your regular beach house.
Unique landscaping and raised zinc cladding demand presence from the street. Inside, an honest and pared-back palette is balanced repeatedly throughout the home providing a timeless and richly layered interior. The spaces capture the sheer joy of living by the beach, being approachable and calm. With an emphasis on durable and timeless materials the custom timber joinery and natural marble celebrate this aesthetic. Polished concrete floors create an expansive sense of space and a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor. Handmade tiles, timber lined ceiling and dark tonal cabinetry present a deeply ingrained response to the building’s surroundings.

Tom Mark Henry was founded in 2014, bringing together a highly skilled team with backgrounds and degrees in interior architecture and design. Based in Darlinghurst, Sydney, our dynamic studio is increasingly active in hospitality, retail, workspace and residential projects.
