Colombian Hotel, Darlinghurst

A local favourite, the Colombian Hotel in Darlinghurst underwent a major refurbishment & uplift in early 2021. The project comprised a three-level upgrade which included the conversion of their existing levels into a new rooftop bar, amenities, outdoor terrace and amalgamation of the adjoining property Gaslight Inn gaming room on the ground floor.
The design of the project was championed by Squillace Architects which ranged from; a Miami-styled rooftop bar, and cocktail lounge and re-introducing dark timber panelling throughout the ground floor, all while retaining the historic art deco elements to the facade and throughout other floors. Calida worked closely with Squillace Architects and the client Iris Capital to deliver a high quality & successful on time project.
