Unleashing her newly discovered creative side, self-described interior design addict Lauren ‘Loz’ Markham is focused on using every design detail to express her and her partner, Nick Baggio’s, personalities in their chic self-built 4-bedroom home.
Loz, a sports presenter for 10 years, happened to be out of work at the same time she and her partner were building their dream home in Berry on New South Wales’ south coast. Jumping on as “an unofficial apprentice”, she fell in love with home design and construction – and started her hilarious and helpful lifestyle Instagram ‘A Builder’s House’. Now their styling journey has begun and she's using Clipsal products to help her interior design vision come to life.
Love at first light
“Finally getting to the stage where I get to style our home has been absolutely incredible” says Loz, detailing how designing her home unleashed an inner creative she didn’t know she had. “I think sometimes in the day-to-day when things [are] really busy, you actually lock away that creative left side of your brain – but mine has just come out to play in the last few months.”
For Loz, it’s important that every detail reflects her’s and Nick’s personality, with nothing jarring the flow of the space – which lead her to Clipsal.
“Our love affair with Clipsal started with our electrician – he recommended Clipsal to us a few years ago, and the first time we saw them in our home, it was love at first sight.”
Loz believes it’s an important detail to creating the desired flow in her home, explaining “if you incorporate an ugly light switch into your home, you'll notice it. But if you incorporate something sleek and sophisticated like Clipsal, they are the perfect finishing touch to every space.”
