Foreshore Remediation project at Managawhai Heads Estuary, completed in 2023, involved trench excavation, installation of Paradise Stones with a protective membrane, and backfilling to combat erosion from severe weather events.
Foreshore Remediation project on the Managawhai Heads Estuary to stop the erosion caused by more severe weather events. Once permission had been given, work involved digging a defined trench, laying in Paradise Stones along with a cloth membrane between the stone barrier and the foreshore, and then backfilling.
Paradise Quarry stones were ideal for this project. They are completely environmentally integrated, they are easily stacked and because of the weight, no additional fixing is required and they offer long-term erosion protection.
