Welcome to Espaso Verde's Gimlet Gravels Garden, a stunning outdoor space built in 2019 in the beautiful Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand. This modern, drought-tolerant landscape was inspired by the masterful designs of Beth Chatto, and features seasonal interest flowers that will stand the test of time.
This project is located in Gimlet Gravels, an area known for its arid summer weather and gravelly soils exposed after a huge flood in the 1860s. Despite the difficult climate, the Espaso Verde team were able to bring this project to life, creating a garden with seasonal interest that is both beautiful and practical.
