KVF Goulds Limited is a private development company who was seeking to create a small residential development that offered high-quality sections to home buyers.

The challenge

The development site had uneven ground levels that required careful re-levelling to ensure future buildability. Previous layouts completed by others needed significant re-design to achieve more efficiency in the lot layout and staged in a way that minimised earthworks. Our multi-disciplinary team needed to work to very tight timeframes to deliver the completed project in under seven months.

The solution

We provided a full-service offering for the project, including district plan investigations and topographical surveys through to lot layout, infrastructure design and contract supervision. The uneven site levels were carefully managed through the precise cut and fill calculations to minimise the costs of bringing in or removing fill material from the site.

The precision of the survey data allowed us to make informed choices that resulted in a streamlined design and delivery process for the overall project. Constant collaboration between our in-house experts resulted in efficient and timely project delivery, with most sections selling at the issue of the title.
