Chatswood Kitchens, in Kapiti, have been in business since 1982 and haven’t had a quiet time since the day their doors first opened. Owner, and former builder and restorer, Gareth Williams has the industry in his blood, starting at just 12 years old when his grandfather made him a saw bench.

The company used Plymasters’ Euro Birch to create a stylish, mid-century style, open shelf, room-divider for the Greenhaven Smarthome Showhome in Manakau.

The resulting feature is practical, light and airy, drawing the eye from the kitchen and dining area through to the family living beyond. At the same time, it helps define zones and their functions. Owners can add their own personal style statement, with treasured possessions, books and photos on display, creating an atmosphere that is distinctive.

Euro Birch’s clean look complements the uncluttered design of the showhome while adding a subtle warmth which is completely in-tune with Greenhaven’s strongly-held values of adaptability and sustainability.
