Health Precinct - Christchurch banner

The Health Research and Education Facility (HREF) completed in 2018 is on the corner of Tuam and Antiqua Streets. This building houses almost 2,000 Ara Institute of Canterbury students, plus Canterbury DHB education facilities such as a state-of-the-art simulation centre for training both students and clinicians. Some of the University of Canterbury’s health sciences academics and support staff are based in the HREF building.

Engaged by New Urban Group (NUG), TMCo designed the base building services and were re-engaged to complete the fitout design for the tenant for mechanical, hydraulics, energy, facade modelling and the full electrical and lighting package.
