A new office fit-out for legal firm Holland Beckett who had been in their existing, traditional accommodation for 30 years. The client was intrigued about an open plan floor solution, and after much discussion, the decision was made to go 100% open plan for partners and staff. to support this strategy, a suite of work/ quiet rooms, meeting rooms, a common library and a cafe was designed and located in quality areas that had previously been inhabited by partners offices. The storage system provided an internal urban landscape and lightly separates the various legal teams. It provides a direct view site line to the windows and view for all staff. The acoustic ceiling tiles and flexible furniture work point solution ensures that change can be accommodated over the lifetime of the fit-out. The palate is purposely restrained with artwork and splashed of colour reinforcing the quality and timelessness of the design.
