Hollywood with a Twist

What do you get when you combine a classic French villa in Malvern, Victoria with the popular 1930s Hollywood Regency style? A Hollywood with a Twist project, brought to life by Massimo Interiors. This family of five wanted to inject colour, glamour, and wow factor into their home. Massimo and the client connected through their European backgrounds and worked together to create a space that reflected the clients’ personalities — bold and colourful, yet elegant and sophisticated.  

Stepping through this luxurious abode, one is taken on an emotional rollercoaster of adrenaline and tranquillity. The curved mirrored staircase is the first glamorous statement, with maximum impact. The formal dining area includes crystal and mirrors with hot pink chairs and turquoise rug. The living room features daring colour choices that reflect the old Hollywood theme of the house. Two generous bedrooms for the kids are decorated in yellow and blue respectively with a shared bathroom. The master bedroom, which overlooks the pool, has an ensuite with freestanding bath, and expansive dressing room. The wife’s brief? A sexy boudoir fit for a king or queen, complete with a cocooning effect with a dark wallpaper.  

Outdoors, the Palm Springs-inspired oasis is filled with pops of colour and royal blue drapes, citrus coloured lounges, and a hanging pod chair for sipping drinks by the pool. Every room in this home has its own unique stamp, full of depth, complexity, and glamour. The Massimo Interiors team has created a masterpiece that is sure to evoke a flutter of luxury with every step.
