Jack's Point House banner

The brief for these mirrored units was simple. Create warm, modern, functional and cost-effective homes that make the most of the incredible surrounding landscapes. The sloping site was subdivided and two beautiful homes were the result of a lot of careful design detail and hard work. Emphasis was put on the following points…

  • Use the small section well to create the illusion of space
  • Large floor to ceiling windows were used throughout to allow light to flood the home
  • The living room features a pitched ceiling to create the illusion of space
  • The internal doors are all 2400mm high which helps with that illusion also

Keeping costs down by splitting both homes over two levels to keep excavation costs down. Warmth was a priority as well - these are insulated to a high standard with multiple efficient heat sources (underfloor heating, 2 high wall heat pumps and Bosca fireplace).
Modern and stylish polished concrete floors with matte finish, bespoke chunky concrete bench tops with copper fleck, open plan kitchen dining and living area.

About the
Professional

Primevue provide expert construction and project management services in the Queenstown area for projects big and small. From residential renovations and extensions, to complete home construction, our team has the experience to ensure your project runs smoothly and to budget.

Primevue Construction is owned by Blair and Jess, a young kiwi couple who are excited about the future of the building industry in Queenstown.

Originally from Auckland, Blair moved to Queenstown for the lifestyle more than 7 years ago. He is a keen snowboarder, jet boater and a lover of adventure. Jess has lived here for over 9 years and also came to Queenstown to get a taste of a more adventurous life. She works in the liquor industry and is an up and coming labourer/golfer/yard tidier.

The foundation for Primevue Construction has been in the making for a long time. Between them, Blair and Jess have been on both sides of building homes. Blair being in charge of builds and projects and Jess and Blair having also been the clients of a large building franchise on their own home build. It is from these experiences they have both learned what the client wants and how building sites work. They bring the best of both experiences to Primevue Construction and believe their approach to construction is the right one.

Blair has been building for 13 years. He started with a pre-trade certificate in carpentry followed by a BCITO Carpentry level 4 qualification and is a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP).

Blair has worked on a wide variety of projects from the removal and repair of leaky buildings in Auckland, commercial tilt slab buildings to high-end architectural homes in the likes of Millbrook Resort, Kelvin Heights and Jacks Point in Queenstown. He has worked his way up the ranks from the young apprentice all the way up to foreman and project manager.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
