Year DA Lodged 2019

A new 1900m2 retail and dining precinct located on a disused quarry site in suburban Brisbane. Built form is located to defend the edge of the precinct and present itself on a civic scale. Covered walkways provide shaded, occupiable edges for people to dwell. Small courtyards at each tenancy entry transitions people from outside to inside through a lush subtropical garden. The history of the site as a granite quarry informs the identity of the precinct. Granite and concrete are used throughout to embed the project in its site.
