KihiKihi Streetscape Upgrade featuring Nubrik clay paving and natural stone, enhancing the township's heritage with improved infrastructure and aesthetics, completed by Civil Construction Services for the Waipa District Council.
Celebrations of the Battle of O-Rakau and the Waipa District are planned for early 2014. The implementation of the upgrade has been completed prior to this celebration.

The overhaul of Lyon Street began in January and has involved laying new water main and stormwater drains, footpath paving, kerbs, new street furniture and planting.
In total, the upgrade work involved 2000 square metres of footpath paving, 650 metres of kerb and channel, 500 metres of new stormwater lines, catchpits and manholes, 19 new street lights and new street furniture including seats, bins, bollards and a bus shelter.
