The client purchased this home in Kohimarama with the intention of renovating. However this almost turned into a full rebuild, due to asbestos, turning what was once a 1980’s brick and cedar house into a large, contemporary family home.
After being referred to the client we engaged The House Concept to work with the client and redesign the home. The project took 10 months and included a sizeable extension, open plan kitchen and scullery with living areas opening out onto an entertaining deck. The addition of an upper level master bedroom and ensuite, and the reconfiguration of the mid-level which holds three bedrooms, a family bathroom and living areas.
