Chad and Ginny Niwa’s beautiful Lemon Street Villa was refreshed in 2019, with an eye for both classic and modern design. At the front, the facade was kept completely original, while the rear was extended and modified to accommodate the growing family’s needs. This contrast was echoed in the landscaping, transitioning from a neat and classical entrance pathway to a more informal and modern backyard complete with a large deck for outdoor living.
Parker, the Landscape Designers behind the project, found the perfect balance between classic and modern, pairing timeless plants with bold shades of green and leaf shapes to create a richly textured and surprisingly low-maintenance garden. Fran Parker’s incredible photography brings to life the exquisite craftsmanship that went into every element of this stunning villa restoration.
