Lin House by Daniel Marshall Architects
A black piano takes centrestage against a polished concrete wall while the beautiful veining in the marble kitchen island competes with the bamboo shadows on the floor.
The dining area utilises a harmonious monochromatic materials palette, overlooking the bamboo hedging and small courtyard.
Grey concrete walls and tiled stone flooring creates a serene textural corridor space.
The bamboo concrete feature wall is the first of its kind to be constructed in New Zealand.
The concept of the bamboo wall reflects the owners' Asian heritage.
A curvaceous bath echoes the curved walls seen in some of the smaller rooms.
The upper-level study and master bedroom enjoys views of neighbouring treetops.
