5000m2 of land, 500m2 of single-story O’Neil Architecture designed home, this property really stands out from the crowd and for good reason. The long working relationship and the excellent quality achieved by Gregg Architectural Builders and O’Neil Architecture was the main draw card for the client when choosing the team to undertake their large-scale build.

Architect: O'Neil Architecture

The home sits on a sunny North Facing site in Lincoln, comprising of 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and triple car garaging. A well thought out combination of bagged schist, vertical cedar cladding, Rockcote plaster and large glass panels complete the exterior cladding. Large gable roofs using Flaxpod Heritage tray roofing work seamlessly with flat roofs to give the house form and define the roof line.

Upon arrival you are welcomed by the Porte Cochere, providing a grand entry, and protecting you from the elements. The front door takes you into the entry foyer, where you are greeted with pitched ceilings and a large triangle window above providing plenty of natural light. The kitchen/living space continues the theme of pitched ceilings, creating a beautiful sense of space and light. The large gable windows at end of the lounge looks out onto the lush green lawn and beyond. The living spaces are all finished with engineered Oak flooring, from Forte flooring. This light natural wood complements the warm feel of the house.

The master bedroom at the eastern end of the home is bathed in morning sunshine. With a large dressing room, makeup area and ensuite this is a special private space for the clients. The remaining three bedrooms each have WIR and share 2 bathrooms. A powder room with coats cupboard is situated near the entry for guests. Large office, laundry and triple garage are at the western end of the home finish off the 500m2 property.

Hot water underfloor heating and ducting air conditioning throughout the home ensures you are cosy in the winter and cool in the summer.

No home is complete without beautiful landscaping, no stone was left unturned when completing this and the result is nothing short of magnificent. A combination of hardwood decks raised planters and paths to the rear of the house tie in with the huge lawn and planting throughout. A concrete path winds it way round the back of the section and provides for morning walks. A combination of exposed aggregate and cobbles complete the driveway and provide a grand entrance for the owners and guests.

Once again, the proof is in the pudding, and this pudding is perfect!! Surround yourself with the right team from the start and remarkable things will happen. Gregg Architectural Builders and O’Neill Architecture have proven over and over again their teamwork and skills will provide you with a unique and enjoyable building experience.

About the
Professional

Gregg Builders wins awards because we're good at what we do.

Christchurch Master Builders of architecturally designed homes

Gregg Builders of Christchurch builds and renovates Canterbury’s most iconic architecturally-designed residential homes.

The company's history dates back to 1939, when Christchurch Master Builder George Gregg went into business. Three generations of Gregg family builders have managed the company over the last 70 years, with George's grandson Colin Gregg now serving as Managing Director.

In the decades that Gregg Builders has been operating, building technology and building methods have changed considerably. Gregg Builders's exemplary standards of workmanship, however, remain the same.

Gregg Builders has received numerous Master Builder awards throughout the years, and many clients have come back to the company to build their second and even third homes, owing to the quality of Gregg Builders architectural houses.

Your ideal Christchurch building company

If you are planning to build or renovate in Christchurch or the wider Canterbury region, no project is too difficult for Gregg Builders. The team relishes a challenge, be it a complex design, tricky or precarious site, or using unconventional building materials.

With Gregg Builders's technical expertise, thorough planning, and clear communication, the team will deliver exactly what you want, on time, within your budget.

A complete record

From building foundations to finished joinery, Gregg Builders photographs and videos the entire construction process, providing clients with a complete visual record of their building project.
