The Client:

Local: Residential is a Melbourne based business making renting simple. They aim to reshape how Australians think about housing by creating and managing communities of apartments built entirely for renters.

The Project:

Local: Kensington offers the perfect mix of inner-city convenience and thoughtfully designed apartments. Located in one of Melbourne's best-connected neighbourhoods, it balances community vibes with easy access to top amenities—ideal for those who value neighborhood charm with urban comfort.

To support making this renting experience as seamless as possible, Koala Commercial installed 100 fully furnished apartments in 2024 to offer the resident a turn key option. From bespoke fabrics to wood stains, we collaborated closely with Local: Residential to provide the perfect fit for their Kensington building.

The Koala Commercial team were on site to project manage the install with a team of professional assemblers over 3 weeks staged in two parts. It was a pleasure to work directly with the Local: Kensington team to see this project come to fruition.
