Lower Hutt Town Hall underwent a significant upgrade in 2019, enhancing its multi-purpose event space with flexible RGBW LED lighting, replacing outdated cold-cathode tubes while retaining the original diffused ceiling channels.
Lower Hutt's Town Hall Events Centre was opened in 1957 and underwent a significant upgrade in 2019. The events centre is a multi-purpose space that required a flexible lighting solution for it's upgrade in 2019. Existing cold-cathode tubes provided general lighting to the space from diffused channels in the ceiling. The channels were retained and the cold-cathode tubes were replaced with colour-changing RGBW LED to suit a vast array of events.
