Madison Avenue

Charming and brimming with character, this modern and contemporary home will not only charm you, but surprise you in so many ways with its intricate details popping up around every corner. Our clients approached Emma Brown Design for a master plan for the entire house, which quickly progressed to a renovation project and styling, which Emma was trusted with every step of the way. Upon entry, you will step into a free-flowing space which welcomes lots of natural light, complete with hanging feature lighting which gives off soft rays of light. A staple feature throughout this home is the accent lighting selected to create depth and warmth to make the space feel relaxed and comfortable. The striking orange couches gives this modern room a pop of colour. The modern with clean lines and dark timber joinery kitchen gives a simplistic feel, and the downlights throughout the entire space provide functional ambient light throughout the entire home. Their discreet appearance blends particularly well with the stunning Soktas pendants positioned in the kitchen. Floating shelving was added to assist with kitchen storage, and bi-fold windows allowed light to flood into the space, and connect inside with outdoors. The living space is equipped with impressive custom-made shelving and an encased gas fireplace – which formed the start of the renovation journey of this particular home. You then enter a stylish master bedroom, a place to escape with its James Dunlop mural breathing life into this space, paired with hanging glass pendants positioned by both the bedsides giving off a beautiful glowing illuminance. This home is truly what dreams are made of, and our client couldn’t agree more. Location: Palmerston North
