This extensive renovation project took 18 months to complete but the transformation of the old Remuera home was incredible. The centre piece of this extensive house is a canter-levered staircase that projects out of an in-situ concrete wall that we hand built and poured on site. There is a bridge that travels through the glass link joining the new black themed house to the old white themed house together. Very cool!
This project took a tired and disjointed home and transformed it into a current, liveable work of art, that takes your breath away as you walk through and appreciate the clean lines and contrast of materials used.
Our goal as the builder was from the outset to execute the vision that the Architect John Irving had put on paper, It is a dream home for our client and a project that we are truly proud to have in our portfolio.

Evolution Builders was founded in 2001 by Craig Parker and Brent Varley. With a combined range of skills from Boat Building, Timber Joinery and Carpentry as well as already having run previous companies, they came together on a joint venture and realised they shared a common dream – To create an innovative construction company that not only provides exceptional quality but also has a genuine commitment to service, budget and timeframes.
