Mereweather Bungalow

Dream Design Scapes was engaged to design a landscape for a busy family, who wanted to revive the heritage bungalow in Merewether and bring back the love to the cottage.

​As you walk through the front gate into the front courtyard, you are greeted by total bliss. A modern haven enhances the bungalows red brick heritage.

​A low maintenance elegance has been brought to the front garden, with a travertine paved courtyard with timber bench seating and features Magnolia Little Gem.

​Artificial grass was used to maintain the low maintenance requirements and traditionally styled plantings of standardised Gardenias, Buxus and Society Garlic.

​In the backyard, the Landscape transforms into a lush tropical oasis, with an existing pool. Laser cut screens were utilised to provide privacy and screening from neighbouring properties.

​Laser screens in charcoal create the perfect backdrop and balance for the inground pool and tropical plantings, making this a private entertainers paradise. The charcoal colour scheme enhances and modernises the space and courtyard without feeling closed in.
