The client brief stipulated the creation of a retreat from the busy Merewether beach located nearby.
MUD created a stunning urban oasis, complete with swimming pool and tropical garden, perfect for the family to relax and for the children to play. The design seamlessly fuses inside and out thanks to the French doors and is complemented by lashings of colourful tropical plants and hanging lights.
The design is modern and vibrant with functional elements including bench seating with LED strip lighting, a day bed that conceals the pool pump, luscious green grass, and built-in kids play and storage area.
Compelling design features include the skylights over the green wall and casual seating area. This is the perfect space to take in the children at play and graze from the nearby recycled timber waterfall benchtop, which also serves as a casual dining and drinking station.
