This project resulted from the 2011 Christchurch earthquake which claimed both the owners family home plus the almost completed new home being designing for them. This townhouse in Merivale, Christchurch was purchased then renovated entirely to accommodate their Christchurch base and visiting family. The new design called for re-orientation and re-planning to suit the couple who also needed plenty of space for visiting family, including a new kitchen, laundry, ensuite bathrooms, library with formal lounge, and home office. Updated soft furnishing included new furniture, curtains, fabrics and wallpapers which add a timeless yet contemporary feel.
