Meninya Street ‘The Heart of Moama’.
In early 2019, LMLA (now THLA) completed the Landscape Masterplan Concept for Meninya Street as sub-consultants to Terrior on the Moama Bridge Arts Precinct Project. Since 2019 there has been significant progress and changes in Moama. The new Echuca – Moama bridge has opened, and Meninya Street has become a council asset. The traffic conditions have changed, and there is an opportunity to re-shape the way Meninya Street is used.
We have developed high-quality concept plans with a streetscape vision that creates a sense of place along Meninya Street. The design is pedestrian-oriented and supports future economic stimulation and activity. The streetscape design encourages the daytime / night-time economy, pop-up markets, tourist activity and connections with surrounding points of interest.
Our plans for 1 kilometre of Meninya Street, were lead by landscape architects and supported by civil engineers. Our creative and practical design proposed:
