Imagine Estate, developed by Villawood Properties is an important residential community on the eastern fringe of Bendigo comprised of 300+ lots. The estate adjoins Emu Creek.
The estate includes generous public open space reserves created along tributaries of the Emu Creek. Landscape design plans prepared by Thomson Hay Landscape Architects include entry fencing treatment, multi-use paths, wetlands with water-sensitive urban design features, remnant vegetation protection and indigenous aquatic and riparian planting. A children’s playground that includes both constructed and natural play elements is located centrally within the estate.
A feature of Villawood developments is striking, large-scale sculptures made by Folko Kooper. The Imagine Estate theme is an emu hen and her chicks.
