Nature's Mirror is a custom eco-system pond designed and built by Southern Waterscapes Ltd for a residential property in Selwyn, Canterbury, completed in 2026.

Measuring 3.2m × 2.4m at 600mm depth, the pond provides the volume and temperature stability needed for a balanced, self-sustaining ecosystem year-round in Canterbury conditions.

At the heart of the system sits an Aquascape skimmer and BioFalls biological filter — working together to keep the water naturally clear without chemicals. An automatic dosing system handles water chemistry with no ongoing effort required from the owner. Lighting was carefully integrated throughout — three 1-watt spotlights highlight the natural stonework, with a wide-angle 8-watt light illuminating the full pond surface after dark, creating a stunning evening atmosphere.
