A community-focused garden in the inner-west featuring recycled materials and diverse native and Mediterranean plantings, designed to delight both owners and passersby.
Generous gardens are those that offer delight to many people – not just the fortunate owners. This gem in the inner-west adds to the streetscape, being open to passersby with its wide frontage. The clients are keen gardeners and wanted to cultivate a bountiful picking garden. Structure on the ground is created with recycled sandstone, reclaimed house bricks and corten steel. Creeping thyme grows through the granitic sand and the open spaces between paving. The diverse planting is a mixture of native and mediterranean, perfect for this sun drenched spot.
