The design brief for this project was to renovate an existing 1970's home to give it a distinct presence within the the streetscape. Given the steep nature of the site, a multi levelled approach was taken affording ocean views from all levels of the home.

Use of materials was important in order to make it stand out in the landscape. White painted concrete sections were softened by the use of timber cladding. The timber cladding was selected to link the home to the eucalypts that surround the site. Large areas of glazing were incorporated into the design in order to maximize ocean views and natural light. 

The result is a modern multi-level design that achieves spectacular ocean views.
