This childcare centre is situated amongst new residential housing stock so it was very important we designed a centre that would stand out in terms of its architecture while still being sympathetic to the subdivision and with that as the main brief I think we have nailed it.
We have used a combination of weather board, stacked block & cedar cladding which all complement each other with their earthy tones.
When you walk into the centre you get a feeling of space with the high vaulted ceilings and high windows which lets ample light into all spaces. The interior is quite neutral but has been brought to life with the coloured light fittings, carpets and children's toys.
The centre is separated into 3 spaces allowing for smaller groups of children throughout the centre for better learning outcomes. These spaces share toilet facilities, resource space & a large kitchen with servery. All lead outside to a lovely covered deck area via large sliding doors.
Hi-lite windows in the play areas also provide for extensive natural light and ventilation which will keep the building healthier and cheaper to run during summer and winter.
This is a good example of a modern learning environment for todays children and anyone considering building a new centre should aspire to. We would be happy to assist you on your next project and run you through the process from design to opening day. Please call today and speak to our childcare specialists to establish your new ECE.
