Pagemasters’ new offices in Auckland were their first outside Australia. The company has its origins in Melbourne and wished to incorporate in the project a sense of the Melbourne ‘café and art’ culture. To offset the stressful nature of their business, our client and the designers set out to squeeze in a bit of fun and humour. As the lead consultant our role was fully coordinate all other disciplines and produce drawings and specifications for the fitout. On behalf of our clients we managed the tendering and consent processes for the project. Our role also encompassed the soft fitout including responsibility for scheduling, procurement and installation of all FF&E items. The co-ordination between landlord works and tenant fitout was crucial within the timeframe. The result has a seamlessly co-ordinated outcome that all parties were proud of. This project shows a different style to many other interiors we have undertaken and represents our commitment to listening to the client’s needs and brief for the working environment, rather than designing to our own styles and agenda. This interior is true to our belief that the client and staff need to remain happy long after we have left the building. This project was completed on time and within budget.
