Courtyard Garden Design

This front garden is the main garden space for this beach-side suburban home. The clients wanted an outside space to come together with family and friends. Beanbags on the lawn, a place to relax and unwind. The tukutuku patterned screen & treasured bird whare reflect the clients' proud heritage and love of beautiful things. A water-feature was sculpted from a local rock, a ripple dish at it's centre, creating a soft sound, capturing your focus. Large circular raised garden beds further enclose the space, connected by a ring of emerald green lawn. Wide pavers draw you in, and a bench seat awaits. Planting has been selected to enhance the garden and will only get better with time. Small trees, hedging, ground-covers, flowering and trailing plants, fragrance & bees. This garden is viewed from above, the main living space and upper deck, and on entry to the home. A once blank canvas has been completely transformed and become a jewel in the property.
