An award-winning country kitchen in Puketapu, Hawke's Bay, with a Mediterranean feel: timber veneer shaker fronts, a HIMACS waterfall island and loads of considered storage.
Set in the Hawke's Bay countryside, the Puketapu Kitchen & Laundry was designed for relaxed country living with a Mediterranean feel. We kept the palette calm and earthy. Custom timber veneer fronts with classic shaker detailing bring warmth, and a 24mm HIMACS benchtop in Aurora Frost wraps the island with waterfall ends.
Every part of it is built around how the family lives. There's a bi-fold pantry, an integrated fridge and freezer, custom range hood detailing and plenty of internal storage planned so everything has a place. Blum soft-close hardware runs throughout.
Designed and built in our local Hawke's Bay workshop, the Puketapu Kitchen & Laundry won Best in Region for Hawke's Bay & Poverty Bay at the 2026 Master Joiners Excellence Awards.
