Queenstown Hill House

Situated on Queenstown Hill overlooking Lake Wakatipu is this architecturally designed, 1417m2 three level residential home. Comprising six bedrooms, a gym, sauna, bar, wine cellar and media room, thoughtfully designed to allow separation between the master suite and guest accommodation wing.
As our clients were based overseas during a global pandemic, they had little to no access to New Zealand during the design and build process. Our team worked together virtually with our clients from capturing their brief, to communicating the concept design and gaining the clients confidence to make complex decisions on their behalf in collaboration with our team.
The design leans toward the grandeur, reflecting the magnificent surrounding landscape and echoing the unique colour tones of this special place. The interior palette is elevated and richly layered with a selection of exquisite natural stones covering large surface areas throughout the home, which is then softened through contrasting timber finishes, alongside oriental and grass weave wall coverings, and tactile soft furnishings. The home is thoughtfully finished with both designer and custom designed furniture pieces from our local artisan manufacturers, and paired with statement feature lighting.
