Sarah Rowlands studied photography in the mid 90’s at Christchurch Polytech before heading to London to work initially as an assistant and photoshop artist. 

Their break came photographing the built environment and architecture.

After some years in Sydney honing their skills in photography working for architects and interior designers as well as portraiture work, Rowlands returned to Christchurch in 2016. Their photography portfolio spans across the fields of architecture, interiors, design, furniture, landscape and people.

Rowlands reflects "I enjoy documenting spaces and environments, and how we live in them." Their work is found in national and international magazines and publications, and is a professional member of the Advertising & Illustrative Photographers Association.
