Respecting the original architecture, whilst using contemporary design principles and materials created a unified outcome and an outstanding family home.

Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors encased in a clean, minimal design were the first step in realising the brief.
A clean, minimal aesthetic combined with removing internal and external walls realised an bright, open space.  
Central to the renovation was providing more light through skylights. The existing traditional profile of the roof / ceiling was preserved, and complimented by clean, bold skylights that enhanced the sense of space in the house.
Contemporary bi-fold doors compliment the existing traditional rooflines and open the house to the courtyard.
The existing house design was typical of compartmentalised architecture, with separated living spaces too closely connected with sleeping spaces.   
C–Architecture repurposed the living spaces to be more connected and open, while respecting the established formal lounge and dining areas. C–Architecture also gave more definition to sleeping areas with an established hallway, whilst actually increasing
The lower level was extensively repurposed for storage and guest accomodation. A deck and access to the pool connected the space to facilities enjoyed by the upper level.
