The brief from the owners of this Mark Davidson Freestyle Architecture designed beachfront home, included ensuring Universal Design guidelines were followed to accommodate their changing needs in retirement.
The elegant, wall-less bathroom maximises the space and views of this outstanding location, while ensuring a visually impaired resident can navigate the facilities with ease and safety.
The custom made, JESANI® extended door channel follows the tiling line, creating a flush physical barrier between wet and dry areas, while also acting as a clear visual and textural introduction to the bathroom area.
To ensure we manufactured the JESANI® door channel exactly to the bathroom floor edge, the corflute template was created and transported back to our warehouse as a fabrication guideline. Situated against the far wall is a spacious level entry shower.
The JESANI shower channel sitting at the threshold ensures fast, efficient drainage of water from the high volume drencher shower head.
PRODUCT INFORMATION:
The JESANI® door channel is a patented floor waste drain system that provides superior overflow drainage support to ensure accidental flooding is contained within the bathroom/wetroom area.
Each JESANI® channel is a fully integrated, waterproof stainless steel system. The patented designs incorporate extended flanges that not only provide structural support at the installation stage but also assists the waterproofing component of the build. Waterproofing is applied over the stainless flanges to provide a double layer of protection from water ingress at the most critical areas of drainage.
All JESANI® channels are fabricated using 1.5 mm thick, grade 304 stainless steel. Grade 316 is available upon request.
