Anouk & Co was engaged to design a unique interior for Taphouse, a bar located in Surfers Paradise QLD.
To develop the interior design concept, our design team were inspired by Art deco and The Hamptons. The bar wraps around with seating that is both designed into segments but part of a whole. The overall design is sophisticated yet light and bright.

The palette of materials included marble, brass, timber, antique mirror, French plaster, fluted glass, black steel, and custom tiles. The crown, clad in fluted glass features hidden planter boxes to allow cascading biophilia to flow from above to create an overgrown garden canopy. The marble counter features a brass insert and timber inlay and a custom feature tile.

Art deco inspired feature lighting is a key design feature, paired with LED strip lights to illuminate key areas such as arched bar displays, planter boxes and the bar.
