Bay of Plenty House

Just in time for summer, the completion of this exquisite Bay of Plenty property has come together to exemplify the perfect fusion of comfort, style, and function, offering an idyllic sanctuary for a returning ex-pat couple. Purchased and renovated while still offshore—a process expertly navigated with the collaboration of renowned architects Stufkens & Chambers, this home overcame logistical challenges to emerge as a celebration of the owner’s love of bold colour, intricate texture, and seamless design. The outdoor areas, undoubtedly the crown jewel of this luxurious residence, reflect a meticulous approach to creating spaces that are both versatile and visually striking. With panoramic views and unparalleled privacy, Sarsfield Brooke worked on the property’s exterior design, focusing on delivering a series of ‘outdoor rooms’ defined not by walls but through thoughtful placement of furniture and design elements. This layout maximises opportunities for entertaining guests or relaxing in peaceful seclusion, catering to both lively gatherings and intimate moments. A covered indoor-outdoor dining area serves as the heart of the home’s exterior, effortlessly extending the summer months while ensuring year-round usability. Thoughtfully curated Bullfrog outdoor furniture adds versatility and refinement, with its customisable features and purpose-driven outdoor fabrics and materials enhancing the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the space. This masterfully designed outdoor haven exemplifies a modern approach to luxury living—one that embraces the natural surroundings while prioritising comfort, elegance, and a connection to the environment.
