384 opening roof louvre blades, creating bays of Opening Roofs at stunning angles, spanning 23 metres along The Hamptons, New York oceanfront.

Not your typical  Hamptons looking house, this house is modern and cutting edge. It took four years of planning and consents, then a 2 year build.

This luxury home is located at the end of Long Island so we knew durability was as crucial as accurate site measurements & a superior finish.

Louvretec Auckland’s Manufacturing team constructed the bays of Opening Roofs to finished sizes in the Auckland factory, effectively creating a kit set that was ready to install, eliminating the need for any cutting on site only assembly. Local construction workers were amazed at the quality and how well it fitted together.

Louvretec Auckland’s installation crew flew to site to ensure a smooth, efficient installation, assisted by Louvretec’s local dealer in New York, Blindtek.  Blindtek work with high profile architect Barnes Coy who design architecturally significant homes with considerations including respect for the site, dramatic forms, coherence of function, exterior-interior design integration, appropriateness and aesthetics of materials.

Louvretec was fortunate to win this contract with other companies weary of the complex angles this job required. Louvretec’s engineering and experience outclassed other louvre suppliers for this project something we are very proud of.

The Hamptons is regarded as the summer break destination – over winter it snows. With a high windzone comparable to Omaha the Super Roof Lite was a perfect option.

This home has since featured on Netflix's Million Dollar Beach House reality tv show.
