THE HOLIDAY HOUSE

The brief was simple, small, elegant and to create the modern bach.

The bach consists of two wings separated by a covered outdoor space that gives shelter from sun and rain and creates the indoor-outdoor bach feel.

One end of the house contains a compact living, dining and kitchen which spills out effortlessly onto the covered area. This area also contains the master bedroom and ensuite, so that when the parents are on their own their living is perfectly self-contained.

The second wing consists of two bedrooms separated by a shared ensuite bathroom, for children and guests. The clever configuration allows for privacy between groups in an otherwise modest footprint.

All rooms open out to the expansive view. The internal decor is modest and uses natural materials – ply walls, concrete floors, which give it a warm and intimate feel.

The structure is a modest jewel in a beautiful landscape, where the aim is to escape from the city, kick off shoes and enjoy life slowly…

This was the seed of Box™. A strong belief that the best way to produce the best homes was through builders, designers and customers working in unison, not against one another.

Success comes through an understanding, appreciation and trust of each other’s expertise. This results in great design – part of which is building pragmatism. This combination of design and build practicality also leads to a unique company culture.

We have designed the way we work on the premise that all projects tend to go really well until the cost gets in the way.

As a result, we take our customers through what we believe to be an industry-leading process: the successful dance of design flair, construction knowledge and budget guidance.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
