The O'Neill House banner

The O'Neill House was completed mid 2013, and can be found in the hills of Titirangi, overlooking the harbour below. An alteration of a 1960's structure, the home appears to cantilever out over the hillside, allowing for an undisturbed view from the living areas and kitchen, situated on the top floor. Below, the bedrooms and other private spaces are arranged to take advantage of the spectacular vista. Large outdoor areas are provided on both levels, for social and private interaction.

The internal space is crisp, softened by the warmth of the marine plywood flooring carried throughout the home.

The stark black and white cladding sits in striking contrast with the surrounding native bush, a clear distinction between built and unbuilt.
