Conrad Architects recently completed Toorak Gardens residence in Victoria, featuring Poliform furniture.

The home is a contemporary take on a European garden villa, creating an effortless connection between the pool terrace and interior living spaces. In the elegant dining and kitchen, there is a Poliform Home Hotel round table and leather and elm Ventura dining chairs.

In the sitting room, a single statement Mad armchair, soft and luxurious, designed by Marcel Wanders. The strength of the building’s form, its materiality – thick, masonry walls – and its repeating elements, like the patio’s series of expansive doors and the front façade’s massive grid-like windows, are all typical of Conrad Architects’ aesthetic. Here they have the effect of instilling a quiet permanence into the new build.

“Poliform furniture, soft linen drapes and plush loop pile carpets complete the home’s refined yet eminently comfortable lustre. The interior palette is a calmly emotive counterpoint, to the angular austerity of the house’s armature,” said Conrad Architects.
