“I enjoyed a wonderful collaboration with Kate Nixon, reimagining the interior of our Federation-style home. Kate has a lovely, classical design sensibility and I loved that she is the elegant representative for the Italian fabric house Busatti, set in the town of Anghiari, Tuscany. She intuitively understands creating a sense of understated luxury and glamour in interiors and has designed beautiful living spaces for our home in a subtle palette which brings in touches of vivid orange. She is aware of my interest in fashion and travel that is part of my background as a former senior editor for Vogue Living and Vogue Entertaining + Travel, which continues on with our family travels. Hence, the informal living area with its bookshelves stacked with books and magazines, creamy white linen Busatti curtains which open to reveal the garden, kitchen adjoining detailed in white carrara marble, and bathroom lined with white mosaic tiles which reference favourite places such as Italy, France and Africa.”
